Our Teen Yoga Class "Teen Yogalates" currently takes place at The Ennis Yoga Studio on Saturdays.
These classes are booked in blocks of 6 to 10 weeks and follow the school term.

Our Teen Yogalates class is a fabulous mix of yoga and pilates. Teenagers will build strength and flexibility of body and mind. Yoga and Pilates are excellent ways to exercise the body. Teens will experience emotional balance through the physical and mental benefits of yoga by practicing breathing techniques, yoga poses, core strengthening and body toning pilates exercises, flowing sequences, and deep relaxation in this class. Positive self-image, self-love, self-care and compassion towards yourself and others are encouraged. Teens in this class will learn effective yogic tools to handle stress, anxiety, anger, depression, and other challenges facing teens today. These techniques, once learned, can be used when needed.
Teens can expect to experience different styles of yoga including Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa flow, Power and Restorative yoga. Teens will also benefit from the core strengthening and body sculpting pilates exercises.
They will have a basic introduction to Sanskrit as they hear the names of the various yoga poses in English and in Sanskrit. They will also be introduced very gently to the philosophy of yoga though various themed yoga classes.
Each class consists of a centering, breathing techniques, mindfulness and meditation, sun salutations, pilates excercises, calming and challenging yoga poses and a deep relaxation or yoga nidra.
Teen yogalates students will learn sun salutations, yoga poses, pilates exercises, breathing techniques and meditations.
Teen yoga and pilates students should wear comfortable clothing to allow for ease of movement and bring a bottle of water.
Yoga mats and blankets will be provided.
